Low Voltage Technician
Summary:
The Low Voltage Technician will install and service many types of systems including: Access Control, Data, Fiber, Security Alarm, Video Surveillance, Nurse Call, Fire Alarm, etc. under the leadership and direction of the Field Services Manager. Technician is responsible for following directions and completing tasks fully, accurately, and timely.
Essential Functions:
- Install, terminate, and test varied types of low voltage systems
- Complete and assist in performing continued maintenance of the documentation for cabling and associated systems
- Maintain customer satisfaction and comradery throughout the installation and service process
- Maintain a complete and accurate inventory of equipment and materials
Required Competencies:
- Familiarity with proper use of common hand tools
- Mechanical aptitude and general technical capacity
- Natural or corrected eyesight with ability to distinguish colors
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills
- Basic understanding of electronics and electrical theory

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Work may be performed indoor or outdoor regardless of weather conditions. This job requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and stooping; must be able to lift objects over 35lbs; must operate vehicle and equipment; may be exposed to machinery and moving parts, be required to be in high places or confined spaces and use stairs or ladders. Job sites and customer service locations may not be in immediate area – travel (occasionally overnight) & overtime may be required.

Required Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma (required)
- Flexible schedule (required)
- Experience in low voltage, with at least 2 years of that experience being directly involved with the install and maintenance of security, surveillance, and/or access systems (preferred)
- Previous sales, customer service, and/or consulting experience (preferred)
